Yawn all you like, you've just confirmed that you're a new breed cock with zero affiliation to West Ham.

Losing 5-0 at the end of the 97/98 season. We were absolutely woeful and to top it off that cunt Ince scored.

The best trip I had was in 2013.

We went to Aintree for he Grand National on the Saturday, a nag appropiatley named Cockney Sparrow won me enough to earn back the cost of my overnight stay, my entrance fee and to get throughly pissed on the night out afterwards.

The Sunday saw us gain a very unexpected 0-0 draw, to be honest Liverpool were all over us as you would expect but right at the end we nearly scored from a corner, I can't remember who headed over from close range. That would have rounded the weekend off nicely.

At some point in the 90's I went up in a minibus with a bunch of mates for an evening kick off. Stopped for the day at Alton Towers and got soaked to the skin in the pouring rain. All I remember of the match was being certain that I was going to freeze to death in the stand. The only time I've ever been colder was away at Hull. Got beat, natch.

I went to the 2-2. Lampard scored a penalty at the Kop end, Keller scored direct from a corner- David James in goal for them. We definitely had massive chances to win at the end Holigan should have squared to Sinclair or vice versa can’t remember. Saw us lose there 2-0 in the early nineties when the old Kop was there, went mental when I think Nigel Clough scored for them.

FMOB and you've the cheek to call me old and senile when you're clearly older and easily more senile than every poster on WHO!

I was there for the 4-0 drubbing.

That was the WEEK of 4-0 drubbings - Chelsea at home, Liverpool mid-week and then Spurs away.

Thanks Curbs.

Never seen us win - been to a few draws incl. the one where dead snake could have nicked-it.

But didn't, of course.

Been a fair few times. Went in 2015 for the 0-3.

Will never go again, certainly not for a league game. No point. Greatest away day ever.

I remember one of the best fights I ever saw between 2 Hammers ... in the 90's think Nigel Clough for them... anyway these two blokes were going Hammer and Tong for a good 5 mins... the stewards and the old bill just stood back and let them batter themselves to a standstill... one of the blokes used to stand near us in the CR.... boy he looked an absolute state the next week... I asked him what was it all about and he said he could not remember !!!

Only been once, a couple years ago in the FA Cup. Finished 0-0, pretty poor game all round, though a decent couple saves from Randolph. Won the replay 3-0 I believe.

Snowed for most of the game, walking between Goodison and Anfield through the park was quite nice. Couple of Liverpool fans with the strongest cockney accents I'd ever heard walking in front of us. Decent ground, Anfield.

Re: Your memories of Liverpool away.
Just recalled that the first time I heard the "You'll never get a job...." chant was at that game in August 2002 (I just looked it up) from the WH away fans. I was in a Liverpool end somehow and all the Liverpool fans were asking each other "what are they singing...?"

Was it a WH away fans invention? Does anyone remember hearing from another club before then?

Re: Your memories of Liverpool away.
Nothing good
First ever game was at Anfield and Paul Walsh scored after 7 seconds
I went to the 5-1 when we got relegated although tbf we played pretty well that night I think Leroy scored hit the bar the post and had one disallowed that cunt McMahon done once just before half time when he went off injured we fell apart
Also remember getting stuck in horrific traffic got there at half time 3-0 down about 5mins into the second half Ince score and we fucked straight off
Best was a 0-0 when we had that jock keeper can’t remember his name but he had an absolute blinder
Safe to say I’m not going and risking jinxing us!!

Re: Your memories of Liverpool away.
One and only visit saw a wonder-goal from 'play up' Bobby Zamora beat Reina at the near post (or was it really a cross?).

Normal service was resumed when they finished by beating us 2 -1.

Notable points of the day - Fat Liverpool fan gets up during the match and is immediately shamed with a chant of 'Gone for a burger'.

The taxi ride from the city centre with a mad scouse cabbie who mounted the pavement at every opportunity and delighted in telling us about all the pubs we'd get killed in. He deposits us outside the Stanley which he has recommended. My brother, quick as thought, says he'll pay for the cab so I am left to venture in to get the beers. So I button up my jacket and go inside only to be greeted by a mix of Liverpool and West ham shirts. Friendly territory, evidently.

Re: Your memories of Liverpool away.
During the Roeder era I rode my R1 Yamaha to Liverpool for the first game of the season in early 2000's.

When I found Anfield I managed to park right outside the back of the ground on the pavement as I was late for kick-off. Di Canio scored an equaliser to an early Owen goal that I missed. We played quite well but Michael Owen scored late in the game but I remember we did well that season and finished 7th iirc.

Re: Your memories of Liverpool away.
One cold winters night we were in popworld and this bird fell over and broke her leg. I got chatting to her mates being the hero etc and pulled a little scouse bird who said I could go back to hers. Bird loses her keys so we end up driving round in a cab for ages trying to find a room for the night, like fucking Mary and Joseph.

Ended up kipping outside lime street underneath a giant neon advertising screen of Johnny depps mug, shivering my sorry blue bollocks off
